Dominic Lopez led Northmont by placing 4th in the GWOC Cross Country Championship race with a time of 15:52.0.

CLAYTON — Individually Northmont had two runners finish in the top 10 Saturday in the Greater Western Ohio Championships at Northmont High School. In the team scoring neither the boys nor the girls team fared that well.
Dominic Lopez placed 4th in 15:52.0 for the Thunderbolts. Kaseem Kaheal of Centerville took 1st place in 15:30.4. In the team scoring Northmont was 7th out of seven scoring teams.
Centerville took 1st place with four runners placing in the top ten to finish with 36 points. In addition to Kaheal in 1st place Daniel Emmert placed 5th (15:59.8), Mitchell Job 9th (16:21.5), and Jagger Noel 10th (16:24.6).
Beavercreek was 2nd with 42 points with three runners in the top 10; Jackson Davis 2nd (15:46.6), Aiden Allen 6th (16:02.0), and Dallin Przybyla 7th (16:06.9).
Springboro was 3rd with 90 points with Samuel Darmanie placing 3rd in 15:48.5.
Other Northmont runners included Owen Bush finishing 21st (16:53.2), Grant Mergler 45th (18:06.3), Adam Wallace 54th (18:38.9), Nick Diller 55th (18:45.2), Chase Bishop 61st (19:22.1), Alex Moore 62nd (19:29.6), Matthew Helmick 64th (20:03.1), and Noah Comer 65th (20:35.0).
For the Lady Bolts, Jazlen Simpson placed 9th in 20:16.3. Ella Smith of Springboro took 1st place honors in 19:16.5. Northmont placed 6th out of seven scoring teams with 145 points.
Beavercreek took 1st place with 51, Miamisburg 2nd with 57, Centerville 3rd with 60 and Springboro 4th with 63.
Macie Roberts led Beavercreek placing 2nd in 19:34.5 and Elise Abraham 7th in 19:59.3. Sofia Stocker placed 6th for Miamisburg in 19:58.3. Claire Drylie led Centerville in 5th place (19:53.6), Shayda Hart took 7th (20:09.9), and Elena VonHandorf took 10th (20:16.4).
Other Lady Bolts competing included Addison Brown finishing 28th (21:30.5), Brianna Pressel 34th (21:59.4), Lilia Lopez 41st (22:16.2), Abbie Weeks 46th (23:05.8), Samantha Santana 52nd (25:38.6), and Maddie Abbott 56th (26:16.7).
