Brookville’s offensive line controlled the game and Blue Devils running backs Jake Lenser, D.J. Moore, and Jayden Resor ran for 118, 108, and 92 yards respectively as Brookville kept themselves alive in the SWBL Buckeye Division race.

Oakwood fell on the ball at the Brookville 13. Three plays later Oakwood quarterback Jackson Thobe fumbled and Lenser recovered at the Brookville four yard line.

The Blue Devils marched 96 yards in 14 plays to score just before the half on a Lenser one yard plunge to put Brookville up 14-0 at the half.

In the third stanza Brookville scored on a 39 yard run by Lenser. The PAT hit the upright and Brookville led 20-0 with 4:31 remaining in the third quarter.

In the final period the Lumberjacks moved the ball 94 yards in six plays with Michael Woeste catching a 23 pass from Jackson Thobe to make the score 20-7 with 6:36 remaining. Connor Mackie booted the PAT.

Oakwood recovered an onside kick at the Brookville 49. Thobe then tossed a 29 yard pass to Carson Dinkler and Mackie kick made the score 20-14.

The Blue Devils iced the game on a 54 yard run by Moore and a two-point conversion by Lenser to make the final 28-14.

Braylon Donohoo ended the game with an interception to thwart Oakwood’s comeback hopes.
