BOYS SOCCER

Eaton

Goals by freshmen Joel Appledorn and Billy Bruce and senior Jordan Downs lifted Eaton to a 3-0 victory Monday over Middletown Madison. Assists came from freshman Sebastian Miller, sophomore Gabe Sawesky, and junior Ty Fugate. Goalkeeper Connor Fitch made eight saves and Fugate made one. Eaton improved to 2-2-1 in SWBL play and 4-5-1 overall while Madison fell to 0-4-0 and 0-9-1 overall.

Northmont

The Thunderbolts lost a non-conference match Tuesday 3-0 at Carroll. Ethan Crist made six saves in goal for Northmont. Derek O’Bleness scored two goals and Emilio Flores one for the Patriots. With the loss Northmont fell to 5-6-0 overall while Carroll improved to 11-1-1. The Patriots have scored nine shutouts wins and have only allowed five goals the entire season.

GIRLS SOCCER

Brookville

The Lady Devils slipped to 5-4-2 overall after a 7-2 loss Tuesday to Jamestown Greeneview, which remained undefeated at 11-0-0. Daylee Sandlin scored four goals and had one assist for the Lady Rams while Mya Simpson netted three goals with two assists. Alyssa Lackey scored both Brookville goals and Helena Brown had one assist. Jaylee Brooks allowed five goals with four saves and Helena Brown allowed two goals with one save.

Eaton

With a 5-0 loss Monday at Alter the Lady Eagles fell to 6-4-2 overall while the Lady Knights improved to 6-3-2. Olivia Schrimpf led Alter with three goals while Abby Kriegbaum and Alora Strauser had one each and Katie Kyre had two assists.

Northmont

The Lady Bolts suffered a 3-2 loss Monday at Tippecanoe to fall to 4-6-0 overall while Tipp improved to 8-2-1. Chinaza Ibe was the only Northmont player listed with a goal. Brooke Shafer led Tipp with two goals and one assist and Kenzie Curry netted one. Kendall Davis and Abbey Unger each had an assist. Ayla Rammel made 15 saves in goal for Northmont.

Preble Shawnee

Aubrey Unger had four goals and an assist, Lyle Ford two goals, and Josie Mondello-Garrett had a goal and an assist to power Preble Shawnee to a 7-0 victory over Dixie on Monday. With the victory the Lady Arrows improved to 5-0-1 in conference play and 6-2-2 overall while Dixie fell to 0-7-0 and 3-10-0 overall. Tuesday the Lady Arrows battled to a 2-2 tie at Twin Valley South. Katie Church and Aubrey Unger each scored a goal and Gracie Leach had an assist and goalkeeper Jillian Murphy made eight saves for Shawnee. TVS got goals from Maci Arndts and Valen Burkett and Lexi Thompson had an assist. Mackenzie Clouse made five saves in goal. TVS moved to 5-2-1 in WOAC play and 8-2-2 overall while Shawnee moved to 5-0-2 and 6-2-3 overall.

Tri-County North

The Lady Panthers improved to 4-3-0 in conference play and 8-5-0 overall Tuesday with a 3-2 victory over Newton, which fell to 5-2-1 and 6-5-1 overall. Rylie Myers had two goals and one assist and Kasidi Daugherty a goal and an assist for TCN. Chloe Oliver made nine saves in goal. Brilie Hines had a goal and an assist for Newton while Meg Yoder had a goal and Gwen Holbrook one assist. Breanna Ingle made 14 saves in goal.

VOLLEYBALL

Brookville

The Lady Devils, currently ranked No. 9 in the state among Division V schools by MaxPreps, improved to 16-1 overall and 8-0 in Southwestern Buckeye League play with victories over Tri-County North on Monday and Eaton on Tuesday. Sidney Sprada had 13 kills, 15 set attempts, eight digs and one block against Tri-County North. Logynn Barr had 11 kills, 16 set attempts, eight total service points, one service ace, and seven digs. Jolie Gudorf had 12 set attempts, 15 assists, 13 total set attempts, three service aces and two digs. Maya Hayden had 11 total service points, two service aces, and three digs.

Eaton

During a five set loss to Brookville by scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-8 the Lady Eagles fell to 6-3 in league play and to 8-7 overall. Shandon Garrett had 28 kills, 70 set attempts, three assists, 15 total service points, two service aces, eight digs, and two blocks. Julianne Deaton had 2seven kills, 28 set attempts, nine total service points, two service aces, and two digs. Daisy Suggs had six kills, 19 set attempts, one assist, one dig, and one block. Charlee Ruebush had 23 total service points, two service aces, and 12 digs. Ella Statzer had 15 total service points, four set attempts, two assists, three service aces, and 16 digs. Kenzie Wilson had two kills, 38 assists, 13 total service points, one service ace, nine digs, and one block.

Northmont

The Lady Bolts scored a 25-18, 27-25, 18-25, 26-24 victory over Sidney on Monday to improve to 12-5 overall. Jenna Hall had 14 kills, 37 set attempts, 15 total service points, one service ace, 10 digs, and one block. Elle Gilmore had nine kills, 26 set attempts, three digs, and five blocks. Jadyn Johnson had eight kills, 20 set attempts, 18 total service points, two service aces, two digs, and one block. Madie Hager had a kill, 19 assists, 15 total service points, and seven digs. Brianna Abels had a kill, five set attempts, 18 assists, 16 total service points, three service aces, and seven digs. Madison Wolfe had 12 total service points, an ace, and 19 digs. Emma Lunsford had four kills and 15 set attempts. Sam Ruddle had three kills, 18 set attempts, one assist and one block. Northmont went on to lose at Beavercreek on Tuesday, 25-12, 25-20, 25-16.

Preble Shawnee

The Lady Arrows defeated National Trail on Monday, 25-16, 25-22, 26-24 to improve to 3-4 in conference play and 7-8 overall. Sallie Montgomery had 11 kills, 27 set attempts, 11 assists, 13 total service points, three aces, and 11 digs. Macy Price had six kills, 18 set attempts, 12 total service points, two assists, and 12 digs. Ally Rike had one kill, seven set attempts, 13 assists, 10 total service points, and nine digs. Emily Shields had 10 total service points, two aces, and seven digs. Emma Fields had four kills, 10 set attempts, eight digs and four blocks.

Twin Valley South

The Lady Panthers improved to 4-3 in WOAC play and 9-7 overall with a 25-22, 25-18, 25-20 win Tuesday at Preble Shawnee. Clara Meyers had 12 kills, 39 set attempts, 10 total service points, two aces, 11 digs, and one block. Brylii Day had five kills, 17 set attempts, four total service points, one ace and one block. Lainey Mercer had four kills, 19 set attempts, 11 total service points, one ace, and seven digs. Mya Hundley had three kills, 15 set attempts, 12 total service points, five aces, 12 digs, and one block. Jayce Mowell had 23 assists, 13 total service points, two aces, and nine digs.
