PREBLE COUNTY — Traffic changes will be implemented next month at the intersection of Ohio 503 and County Road 56 (Lexington Road) in Preble County.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, the intersection of Ohio 503 and Lexington Road will be converted to a four-way stop, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Currently, the intersection, which is located just north of West Alexandria, is a two-way stop with Ohio 503 traffic having the right of way.

The purpose for the change is to improve safety and address crash trends at the intersection. With the conversion of the intersection from a two-way stop to a four-way stop scheduled to take place next month, message boards alerting motorists of the upcoming change are scheduled to be installed by Wednesday, Oct. 9, ODOT officials said in a media release last week.
