Northmont girls golf posts win over Miamisburg

MIAMISBURG — Tuesday the Northmont varsity golf team defeated Miamisburg due to the shorthanded Lady Vikings posting only two scores.

In spite of the circumstances Northmont coach John Lemmon was happy to beat a conference rival.

“A win is a win. I am proud of our girls showing up and playing their best. I will take any win against the Burg,” Lemmon said.

Monday the Lady Bolts had a tough evening at Eaton Country Club finishing 4th in a quad match. They competed without the help of their No. 1 player who was out due to illness.

The bright spot of the night was second year sophomore Elizabeth Calhoun shooting the team’s low score of 58.

“This was a nice round under tough conditions and a testament to Elizabeth’s never quit attitude,” Lemmon said.

Eaton won the quad match with a score of 243. Northmont came in at 270.
