We had an amazing time recently with the extraordinary Batik project. You need to experience this with us if you haven’t already!

Batik fabric is an ancient art form that originated in Indonesia, specifically on the island of Java. Its history dates back over 2000 years, making it one of the oldest textile traditions in the world. The word “batik” is derived from the Javanese word “ambatik,” which means “a cloth with little dots.”

Lunch in the Gallery

We were thrilled to host another successful Lunch in the Gallery on Tuesday, Aug. 13, with Buckeye Jakes. Our event drew a remarkable crowd, including numerous Preble Arts Board members and the incredibly talented artist, Phillip Erbaugh. Phillip captivated the audience as he showcased and discussed his stunning gallery currently on display at Preble Arts. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated board members and the esteemed guests who graced us with their presence today. Mark your calendars for our next lunch in the gallery on Tuesday, Sept. 10. We eagerly anticipate your presence next month.

Announcing the return of Flute Foundations! We are thrilled to offer this free class for the second year in a row. Open to students in grades 4-6, this class will provide a great opportunity to learn the basics of playing the flute. Taught by the talented Mary Warrick, the class is completely free, and instruments will be provided to each student for the entire school year.
