Brookville golf
Brookville’s boys golf team placed 10th at SWBL Preseason Tournament Aug. 7 at Beechwood Golf Course.
Troy Peak led Brookville with a 97 followed by Daelon Wackerman and Ben Grossman, both with a 98, and Jackson Kleismit with a 105.
The Blue Devils scored 398. Bellbrook took 1st with a 300. Ross was 2nd (344), Valley View 3rd (354), Oakwood 4th (359), Carlisle 5th (361), Monroe 6th (371), Franklin 7th (376), Edgewood 8th (388), Waynesville 9th (389), Brookville 10th (398), and Eaton 11th (429).
The Blue Devils placed 11th at the Brookville Invitational on Aug. 8 with a score of 406. Ben Grossman shot a 99, Jackson Kleismit 100, Troy Peak 102 and Lukas Osswald 105.

The Lady Devils tennis team lost its season opener 5-0 at Greenville on Monday.
No. 1 Singles Riley Capasso (Greenville) defeated Ava Brandeberry (Brookville) 6-4, 6-1.
No. 2 Singles Maddie Lance (Greenville) defeated Emily Etter (Brookville) 6-1, 6-3.
No. 3 Singles Sienna Gilman (Greenville) defeated Mackenzie Tait (Brookville) 6-1, 6-3.
First doubles Doubles Haylee Shuttleworth/Meadow Murphy (Greenville) defeated Morgan Miller/ Kara Thomas (Brookville) 6-2, 6-1.
Second doubles Charlie Pope/Kristen Horn (Greenville) defeated Lorelai Wells/Mina Volk (Brookville) 6-0, 3-6 6-4.
Tuesday the Lady Devils fell 4-1 to Milton-Union. Brookville’s lone victory was at second doubles where Lorelai Wells/Mina Volk (B) defeated Brooke Metzger/Kayana Stacey (MU) 6-1, 6-1.
At first singles Peyton Henderson (MU) defeated Emily Etter (B) 6-2, 6-0.
Second singles Aubrey Twentier (MU) defeated Mackenzie Tait (B) 6-1, 1-6, 10-6 tiebreaker.
Third singles Grace Ammon (MU) Kira Volk (B) 6-2, 6-1.
First doubles Penelope Bobic/Grace Leffew (MU) defeated Kara Thomas/Morgan Miller (B) 6-1, 6-3.
Northmont girls golf
Sophomore Elizabeth Calhoun shot a career best 56 during the Northmont girls golf team’s match Tuesday, Aug. 13 at Meadowbrook at Clayton. Troy won by five strokes, 228 – 233.
The Lady Bolts JV golfers scored a 288 – 300 win over Troy with Laynee Barrett leading the team with a 62 and Charlotte Bechler shooting a season best 69.
Northmont tennis
The Lady Bolts tennis team opened the season Aug. 9 with a 5-0 loss at home to Chaminade-Julienne.
Northmont bounced back with a 4-1 win over Fairborn on Monday, Aug. 12 but followed with a 5-0 loss to Centerville on Tuesday.
