All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sunday, May 26, Brookville 2400162: an unruly juvenile was reported on E. McKinley St.

Monday, May 27, Brookville 2400164: Police investigated an attempted breaking and entering at Reed’s Pharmacy.

Clayton 240000563: Unknown subjects stole a trailer containing 48 inch zero turn Cub Cadet and a red 52 inch Craftsman zero turn, a push mower and two weed whackers in the 8600 block of N. Main St.

Tuesday, May 28, Clayton 240000568: Michael A. Morelli III, 36, of Clayton 45415, was charged with resisting arrest and was arrested on a warrant out of Preble County. He was incarcerated.

Clayton 240000573: Dell Cook, 60, of Dayton 45415, was arrested on a warrant out of Miamisburg for failure to appear and was also charged with display of plates and driving under suspension. He was incarcerated.

Wednesday, May 29, Clayton 240000576: Theft by deception was reported on Copperfield Drive.

Thursday, May 30, Brookville 2400166: James E.E. Lavender, 31, of Springfield, was charged with driving under child support suspension, falsification, and was arrested on a Clark County warrant. Lavender was taken to the Clark County Jail.

Friday, May 31, Brookville 2400168: Jonathan La Nault, 54, of Kansas City, Kan., was charged with obstructing official business, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey traffic control devices. Incarcerated.

Brookville 2400170: A pink bike left abandoned in the 500 block of Westbrook Rd. was collected by police and placed in the property room.

Brookville 2400171: Police responded to Walnut Street on the report of an injured dog. A white and brindle Pit mix was sitting on the porch on a leash with several open wounds on its left side and with a distorted hind leg. The Animal Resource Center responded to the scene to handle the situation.

Saturday, June 1, Brookville 2400172: Landon M. Brown 39, of Xenia, was arrested on a warrant out of Greene County. Brown was transported to State Route 235 and turned over to a Greene County deputy sheriff.

Brookville 2400173: Andrew D. Cartwright, 28, of Union, was charged with no tail lights, rear plate light required, and operating a vehicle intoxicated. He was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.

Clayton 240000588: A 2023 Toyota Camry left unlocked with the keys inside and a purse was stolen in the 7800 block of Lisa Lee Lane.

Tuesday, June 4, Brookville 2400178: Criminal damaging to the entry gate was investigated at Golden Gate Park.

Wednesday, June 5, Clayton 240000603: Burglary was reported in the 7400 block of Greenbank Ct. There were three residents inside when an unknown subject entered through an unlocked door and removed a crossbody bag containing a wallet, cash, ID cards, credit cards, and other items. Detective McKittrick with Whitehall Police contacted the victim and was advised they had her bag with items belonging to her inside. Two unauthorized charges were made using the victim’s credit card. Whitehall arrested two people driving a stolen vehicle.

Friday, June 7, Clayton 240000610: Theft by deception was reported on Sterling Maple Court.
