DAYTON — Seven students from Northmont Middle School were honored at the 34th Annual Montgomery County Violence Prevention Awards Ceremony put on by Prosecutor Mat Heck.
Out of more than one thousand entries, Addison Thomas won first place; Zoe Feltner won third place; and Juliette Gehlhausen, Grant Lepine, Ella Hannahan, Drew Chain, and Averie Frantz won honorable mention for the essays they wrote with creative ways to prevent different types of violence.
This is the tenth year that the first place winner has come from Northmont Middle School.
