The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sunday, Dec. 24, Englewood 230002116: Larry Foster, 63, at large, was charged with disorderly conduct – offensive language and possession of drug paraphernalia in the Meijer parking lot. He was transported to jail.

Tuesday, Dec. 26, Englewood 230002129: Michael D. King, Jr., of Dayton 45425, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension, failure to re-instate, assured clear distance ahead, reasonable control, and fictitious license plates. He registered at 0.196 percent on breath intoxilyzer test. King was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.

Wednesday, Dec. 27, Englewood 230002134: Stephen E. Cheek, 52, of Dayton 45417, came to the police department to pick up personal property from a prior arrest. During an ID check it was determined Cheek had a warrant for a parole violation and was transported to jail.

Englewood 230002135: Police responded to Meijer gas station on the report of a male subject harassing people asking them for money and gas and cursing at employees. Larry Foster, 63, at large, was charged with criminal trespass and transported to jail.

Thursday, Dec. 28, Englewood 230002137: Maurice D. Norton, 33, of Dayton 45402, was arrested on a warrant out of Fairborn for failure to appear on a theft charge and was also charged with driving without a valid license. Norton was transported to jail.

Englewood 230002138: Christopher D. Thomas, 53, of Jamestown, was charged with theft at Meijer. He complained of having chest pains and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital North, issued a court summons and released to hospital staff.

Friday, Dec. 29, Englewood 230002152: Reina A. Ramey, 26, of Dayton 45417, was arrested on a warrant through Dayton Police for failure to appear. She was transported to jail.

Sunday, Dec. 31, Englewood 230002147: After picking up a plastic tote and striking another employee on her back at Nissin Precision, Jasha L. Walker, 29, of Englewood, was charged with assault and was issued a court summons. She was also terminated from employment.

Friday, Feb. 9, Clayton 240000133: An unknown subject punctured the passenger side rear tire on a vehicle parked at Dollar General, 8126 N. Main St.

Clayton 240000135: A resident reported that someone used her Social Security number in an attempt to open a Disney Credit Card through Chase Bank. Benz Credit Card Fraud Department closed the application attempt. The victim placed a freeze and fraud alert on her credit through TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian.

Saturday, Feb. 10, Clayton 240000137: An officer observed a vehicle driving north on State Route 49 at 1:19 a.m. abruptly drive over the median just south of the intersection with Union Road in an attempt to make a U-turn. A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Westbrook Road. The driver admitted to drinking two shots of tequila at the Muse Lounge 30 minutes earlier. After failing a series of field sobriety tests, Tyesha Washington, 41, of Dayton 45405, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under the influence over the legal limit and driving upon the left side of the roadway. She registered at 0.178 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. She was issued a court summons and released to a friend.

Sunday, Feb. 11, Clayton 240000143: Officers responded to the 6600 block of Benjamin Franklin Dr. on the report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers made contact with the reporting party who stated that male subject drove into her backyard and the vehicle was now stuck. Police identified the driver who stated that a male passenger exited the vehicle ran into a house owned by his parents at 6607 Benjamin Franklin. An officer spotted the passenger inside the home and spoke to the homeowner who said she was uncertain if her son was inside. She gave officers permission to search the house and officers found a male in the attached garage. Gregory W. Mohr, 61, of Dayton 45417, was arrested on a warrant out of Jackson Township for failure to appear on a traffic citation and was transported to the county jail.
