TROY — The Brookville boys cross country team competed in the Division II, Region VIII regional meet at Troy while the Lady Devils competed in the Division III, Region XII regional race.
Brookville girls placed 7th out of 11 teams in Division III while the boys were 13th out of 14 teams in Division II.
The top four teams in girls Division III advanced to state along with the top 12 individuals. Runners could qualify as a team member and as an individual. Teams advancing included West Liberty-Salem, Ft. Loramie, Madeira and Botkins.
Individual qualifiers were Paige Steinke of Anna in 1st place in 18:50.10. Alaina Mann of Botkins, 3rd place, 19:10.4. Brittany Arnold of Botkins, 4th place, 19:10.50. Caroline Hamilton, Legacy Christian, 5th place, 19:20.50. Ellie Mark of Cedarville, 8th place, 19:38.90. Allie Reuter of Summit Country Day, 10th place, 19:41.90. Elisabeth Waltz of Troy Christian, 11th place, 19:43.0. Meredith Barga of Versailles, 12th place, 19:47.80.
Dylan Ballin led Brookville at 18th overall with a time of 20:07.30.
Other Brookville girls in the race were Logan Barr (45th) 21:35.80. Serenity Suggs (49th) 21:41.30. Lindsay Rieder (72nd) 23:28.90. Kayln Combs (82nd) 25:49.60. Madeline Allen (84th) 27:12.60.
The top four boys teams in Division II advanced to state and the top 16 individuals. Runners could qualify as a team member and as an individual.
Teams advancing included Madeira, Carroll, Oakwood, and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.

James McGrath, Indian Hill, 10th, 16:40.10. Jonas King, Waynesville, 13th, 16:43.70. David Flandermeyer, Batavia, 14th, 16:43.90. R.J. Poffenberger, Indian Hill, 15th, 16:44.30.
Sophomore Christian Seitz led Brookville in 56th at 17:47.10. Lucas Tipton finished 63rd in 18:00.20. Eli Ward finished 76th in 18:33.70. Logan Wright was 78th in 18:35.60.
Evan Pentecost finished 85th in 18:41.80. Rowan Deardurff was 87th in 18:49.40. Chase Puskas was 100th in 19:09.00.
