All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Saturday, March 25, Brookville 23-00113: A resident driving home from work spotted a bright pink pet carrier in the driveway of O’Riley’s Drive Thru. When she stopped to investigate she discovered three young kittens in need of medical care had been abandoned in the carrier. Police advised the female to create a Facebook post asking for help with the kittens while police created a post of their own on the department’s Facebook page.

Brookville 23-00114: Spencer L. Younce, 20, of Dayton 45401, was charged with driving under suspension and drug possession. His vehicle was towed. He was issued a court summons and released.

Sunday, March 26, Brookville 23-00115: Trisha L. Chastain, 43, of Brookville, was arrested on a warrant out of Indiana on an original charge of driving while under the influence. She was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Brookville 23-00116: Criminal damaging to a handle lockset on a barn was reported in the 200 block of Johnsville-Brookville Rd. The victim also discovered the cover was open on the power disconnect on the side of the barn. No items appeared to be missing.

Tuesday, March 28, Brookville 23-00118: Aggravated menacing was reported at Subway on Wolf Creek Street where an unknown male called the restaurant four different times. During the last call the male threatened to rape a female employee and to ruin the business. The female stated she did not wish to press charges, but requested if the male was identified that she did not want him to enter the business. After doing some research police were able to identify a possible suspect. He was issued a criminal trespass warning.

Wednesday, March 29, Englewood 23-0000524: Stacy D. Woods, 35, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft at Meijer and transported to the county jail.

Thursday, March 30, Brookville 23-00122: Martin D. Lowry, 62, of Brookville, was cited with failure to maintain reasonable control and expired registration following a traffic accident at Arlington Road and N. Wolf Creek St.

Saturday, April 1, Englewood 23-0000536: Shannon M. Frazier, 44, of Englewood, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and failure to maintain marked lanes. She registered at .216 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. She was issued a court summons and released to a friend.

Englewood 23-0000537: A 17-year-old male of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft at Meijer and failure to disclose identity. He was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center.

Englewood 23-0000539: Bobbie Jo Davis, 36, of Springfield, and Joscelyn D. Salters, 25, of Dayton 45417, were each charged with theft at Walmart. Both were issued a court summons and released.

Monday, April 3, Englewood 23-0000541: Shanita L. Atwater, 36, at large, was charged with theft at Meijer and was arrested on a warrant out of Dayton for failure to appear. She was transported to the county jail.
