Time to ‘Paint the Pigs’

“Paint the Pigs” is an opportunity for businesses, families, and individuals to purchase an (almost) life-size concrete pig and then paint it for the contest.

EATON — Organizers of the 52nd Annual Preble County Pork Festival are “squealing with excitement” to announce “Paint the Pigs,” an interactive activity and contest to generate enthusiasm around this year’s event.

“Paint the Pigs” is an opportunity for businesses, families, and individuals to purchase an (almost) life-size concrete pig and then paint to their creative delight.

The Pork Festival team will deliver unpainted pigs to the purchasing team and once painted, a picture of the pig will be submitted for use with public voting. Pigs will remain at the purchaser’s business or home to showcase their Preble County pride throughout the year.

Organizers are asking the community to “Dream Pig” by encouraging participation in “Paint the Pig” with these iconic and unique conversation pieces. General information, order form, and FAQs can be found online at www.porkfestival.org

Deadline to order is May 1.

Public voting will begin in August and run through the Pork Festival weekend with a winner announced on Sunday, Sept. 17. Specific details on public voting instructions will be released this summer.

Additional festival information, including volunteer opportunities, may be found at www.porkfestival.org, along with a full event schedule and more festivities as they are confirmed.

Businesses or individuals interested in further support of the Pork Festival may find detailed ways to help this year’s event at www.porkfestival.org/sponsor.
