LEWISBURG — Where in the world did 2015 go? The ball has fallen, the calendar turned to 2016 and the pattern has started over. How different will 2016 look? The village is growing. Three new businesses have opened downtown. Lewisburg is coming back! It’s pretty exciting to see that no parking places are left on Commerce Street because people are visiting the businesses. Let’s open our village to all those around us!

Bicentennial 2018
The Village of Lewisburg is planning our 200th birthday (2018). Don’t start growing those beards but start planning your dress outfits for the big celebration. If there are birthday ideas, please direct them to the Village Office or email us ([email protected]) and we will be happy to pass them along. This is a huge celebration that will be remembered for a long time. We have heard that the time capsule will be opened revealing the happenings of 1993. Has anything changed?
Downtown Abbey tea party
Brown Memorial Library became Downtown Abbey on Saturday, Jan. 30. Approximately 30 people attended this special day, donning their hats and clothing custom to that era. Finger sandwiches , tea cookies and of course tea brought this day to life. Thank you to the ladies who made this happen. They included: Diana Oda, Joy Scott, Susan Hall, Patricia Keith, Sharon Justis, Joy Scott’s grandchildren. What an awesome experience. We loved the cucumber sandwiches.
Where are you ladies?
We are very busy! Four walls and four dogs was not enough to keep us occupied. We had to explore our surroundings. Where do you go when the world is the limits? We found a new place to call home. Thank you all for stopping by and helping us explore our dream. We are having a ball.
