The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Sept. 20, Brookville 2400363: Police responded to a hit and run crash on Jefferson Street. A 2013 Ford Fiesta was struck by an unknown vehicle that damaged the front driver’s side hubcap, A-pillar, cracked the windshield and damaged the driver’s side mirror.

Clayton 240001049: Sandy K. Green, 47, of Fairborn, was cited with barking or howling dogs and issued a court summons.

Saturday, Sept. 21, Brookville 2400364: Police checked vehicles in the EZ Drive Auto Mart after a suspicious vehicle was observed parked near the gate occupied by three unknown males. Handprints were found on several vehicles but there were no signs of any vehicles being broken into.

Clayton 240001052: Michael J. Benvenuto, 30, of Clayton 45322, was cited for dog at large and issued a court summons.

Sunday, Sept. 22, Brookville 2400365: A male subject was issued a criminal trespass warning in the 100 block of Karrland Dr.

Monday, Sept. 23, Brookville 2400370: Identity theft was reported on Pleasant Court. The victim did not suffer any financial loss.

Clayton 240001064: Theft was reported at Dollar General where a subject that had stolen from the store previously returned and left without paying for merchandise.

Tuesday, Sept. 24, Brookville 2400371: Brandon L. Weidel, 22, of Brookville, was arrested on a warrant issued by Dayton Police for failure to appear on an original charge of assault. He as taken to jail.

Wednesday, Sept. 25, Brookville 2400373: A missing juvenile was reported on Clayton Road. The juvenile came to school the next day and was taken into custody and taken the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.

Clayton 240001072: An unknown subject entered unlocked vehicle on Fallgold Drive and stole a wallet. Security footage revealed that one suspect broke the window on a Kia Soul nearby and stripped the steering column in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

Clayton 240001074: A female subject was issued a criminal trespass warning at Everybody Fitness.

Clayton 240001076: A suspicious person was reported on Willow Road. Police obtained security footage of the suspect and her vehicle.

Thursday, Sept. 26, Brookville 2400374: A hit and run was reported in the Holiday Inn parking lot where a vehicle had damage on both sides. Police could not determine if the damage actually took place in the parking lot.

Brookville 2400375: Robert A. Minnick, 41, of Springfield, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Hancock County for possession of fentanyl. He was taken to jail. Perry L. Mahone Jr., 55, of Springfield was cited for two brake lights required, no driver’s license and was issued a summons in lieu of arrest for a warrant out of Clark County.

Clayton 240001079: An unknown subject entered a vehicle parked on Willow Road and stole a wallet containing cash and credit cards.

Clayton 240001080: Theft was reported at Dollar General. A license plate number from the suspect’s vehicle was obtained. The case remains under investigation.
