BOYS SOCCER

Brookville

The Blue Devils scored a 2-0 victory Oct. 3 over Valley View to improve to 4-2-0 in the SWBL and 10-3-0 overall while the Spartans fell to 2-4-0 and 6-7-2 overall. Branson King and Roman Whorton scored one goal and had one assist each. Ayden Cowens made one save in goal.

Tuesday the Devils defeated Legacy Christian, 3-0. Goals were scored by Branson (one assist) and Dom King and Sam Seitz. Jace Vance had an assist. Cowens made seven saves in goal.

Eaton

The Eagles suffered an 8-0 loss Oct. 3 at Waynesville to drop to 2-3-1 in the SWBL and 6-7-1 overall while the Spartans improved to 6-0-0 and 13-1-2. Goalkeeper Connor Fitch allowed eight goals but made 29 saves. Nick Feldhaus led Waynesville with four goals and one assist. Noah Kazmierski had two goals and three assists. Lucas Rocha and Celtan Walton added one goal each.

On Monday, the Eagles defeated Talawanda 1-0 on a goal by Jordan Downs. Connor Fitch made 19 saves in goal. Tuesday Eaton defeated Tri-County North 2-0 on two goals by Downs and an assist by Ty Fugate. Fitch made 10 saves in goal as Eaton improved to 8-7-1 overall.

Northmont

Tuesday the Thunderbolts scored a 5-0 victory over Wayne to improve to 3-4-0 in conference play and 6-7-2 overall. Chris Henderson scored two goals. Kamryn Kleber had a goal and an assist while Julian Bazile and Nevin Smith each had one goal. Matthew Harwedel and Nevin Smith had one assist. Ethan Crist made three saves in goal.

Preble Shawnee

After suffering a 4-0 loss to Dixie on Oct. 8 the Arrows bounced back the next day with a 2-1 victory over Stivers to improve to 6-8-0 overall. Donald Clark and Braylen Haer scored goals off a pair of assists by Ethan Fields. Andrew Unger made seven saves in goal.

GIRLS SOCCER

Brookville

After a 2-0 loss Oct. 3 to Valley View the Lady Devils bounced back Saturday to defeat Tecumseh 5-2. Maddie Tarkany scored a pair of goals to lead the Brookville attack. Maura Cunningham had a goal and two assists. Alyssa Lackey and Megan Luebke had one goal while Kinley Kummer and Chloe Poppaw each had an assist. Helena Brown made two saves in goal. With the victory Brookville improved to 6-7-2 overall while Tecumseh fell to 7-7-1.

The Lady Devils went on to post a 10-0 victory over Stivers on Oct. 8. Grace Taylor had three goals and one assist; Maddie Tarkany two goals, Savannah young one goal and one assist, while Abigail Applegate, Jaylee Brooks, Maura Cunningham, Alyssa Lackey, and Lilliana Wilson had one goal each.

Eaton

The Lady Eagles posted a 7-0 non-league victory Oct. 7 over Greenville to improved to 8-5-3 overall. Myla Roberts scored three goals with one assist. Eva Roberts had one goal and two assists. Adie Heggs had one goal and one assist. Braeden Borgwardt and Sophie Calvert had one goal and Lilly Garcia, Autumn Gillenwater and Jaelinn Miller each had one assist.

National Trail

The Lady Blazers suffered a 4-0 loss Oct. 3 to Milton-Union to fall to 5-8-1 overall while the Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-8-1. Taylor Reynolds made 20 saves in goal. Kate Copp scored two goals and had one assist, Autumn Blaze one goal and one assist and Meg Ryerson one goal for M-U.

Oct. 8 the Lady Blazers scored a 2-1 victory over Tri-County North on goals by Lillian Cordle and Megan Irvin. Maria Sorice had an assist. Taylor Reynolds made eight saves in goal. Lily Thompson scored for TCN off an assist by Reese Myers.

Northmont

The Lady Bolts scored a 4-0 victory Oct. 7 over Xenia. Ashlyn Bazile had two goals and one assist while Jadyn Bollinger and Chinaza Ibe each had one goal and Aubree Conti had one assist. Ayla Rammel made five saves on goal as Northmont improved to 7-7-0 overall.

Preble Shawnee

With an 8-1 victory over Dixie on Oct. 8 the Lady Arrows improved to 8-0-2 in conference play and 9-3-3 overall. Aubrey Unger led Shawnee with four goals. Lyla Ford had three goals and one assist and Nora Feck had one goal. Alexis Leach had two assists while Ava Fields, Josie Mondello-Garrett, Myra Neihoff, and Reginia Rodriquez each had an assist. Jillian Murphy had one save in goal.

Twin Valley South

The Lady Panthers battled to Newton to a 1-1 tie on Oct. 3 to move to 5-2-2 in WOAC play and 8-2-3 overall. Newton moved to 6-2-2 and 7-6-2. Kelsie Maggard scored the lone goal for TVS off an assist by Noelle Bassler. Mackenzie Clouse made 10 saves in goal. No stats were available for Newton.

TVS went on to post a 6-0 victory Oct. 7 over Tri-County North. Valen Burkett had two goals and two assists. Kelsie Maggard had two goals and one assist. Lexi Thompson had a goal and three assists and Lilly Wharton had one goal. Mackenzie Clouse made two saves.

VOLLEYBALL

Brookville

The Lady Devils remained undefeated in league play with a 25-14, 25-10, 25-23 over Valley View on Oct. 3 to improve to 11-0 in SWBL play and 19-1 overall. Valley View fell to 2-8 and 6-14. Sidney Sprada had 23 kills, 37 set attempts, one assist, 10 total service points, four aces and 15 digs. Logynn Barr had 14 kills, 27 set attempts, one assist, 13 total service points, five digs and three blocks. Jolie Gudorf had two kills, 13 set attempts, 23 assists, 13 total service points, and two digs. Lauren Eller had 13 assists, 16 total service points and five digs.

Oct. 8 the Lady Devils posted a 25-14, 25-12, 25-6 win over Middletown Madison. Sprada had 15 kills, 26 set attempts, two assists, 12 total service points, one ace and three digs. Barr had seven kills, 14 set attempts, one assist, 19 total service points, and nine digs. Abbie Fullenkamp had six kills, 12 set attempts, one assist and two digs. Gudorf had one kill, five set attempts, 15 assists, 16 total service points, one dig and one block. Ella Nutter had two kills, eight set attempts, 17 total service points, five total service points, and two digs. Mallory Hoover had two kills, and six set attempts. Jolie Bittorf had one kill, one dig and one block.

Eaton

The Lady Eagles defeated Waynesville on Oct. 3 in three sets 25-20, 25-22, 26-24 to improve to 7-4 in league play and 11-8 overall. For Eaton, Shandon Garrett had 18 kills and 11 digs. Julianne Deaton added eight kills. Kenzie Wilson had 31 assists and seven digs. Lyli Collier had 11 digs. For Waynesville, Baylie Snyder had 10 kills, 23 set attempts, 10 total service points, three digs and four blocks. Cali Layne had eight kills, 20 set attempts, and four digs. Kaitlyn Hanshaw had seven kills, 17 set attempts, 18 assists, 16 total service points, eight digs and one block. Amelia Bunch had six kills, 21 set attempts, three total service points, one dig and one block.

Oct. 8 the Lady Eagles posted a 27-25, 25-23, 25-14 victory over Valley View. Garrett had 12 kills, 33 set attempts, two assists, 18 total service points, one ace, eight digs and one block. Deaton had 13 kills, 28 set attempts, three digs and one block.

National Trail

The Lady Blazers lost Oct. 3 to Newton in three sets 25-11, 25-10, 25-13. Newton improved to 7-3 in conference play and 13-6 overall while Trail fell to 2-9 and 4-17.

Northmont

With a 25-12, 25-21, 25-17 victory over Miamisburg on Oct. 8 the Lady Bolts improved to 8-4 in conference play and 14-6 overall. Lydia Bridenbaugh had 11 kills, 28 set attempts, 13 total service points, six aces, and 10 digs. Jadyn Johnson had six kills, 12 set attempts, two digs and four blocks. Emma Lunsford had five kills, 19 set attempts and two blocks. Elle Gilmore had six kills, 14 set attempts, nine total service points, three digs and four blocks. Brianna Abels had one kill, 11 assists, 11 total service points and six digs. Jenna Hall had two kills, 13 set attempts, one assist and two digs.

Preble Shawnee

The Lady Arrows suffered back-to-back losses to Carlisle 25-20, 25-19, 26-28, 25-18 on Oct. 7 and 25-18, 25-8, 25-12 to Mississinawa Valley on Oct. 8 to fall to 3-8 in conference play and 7-14 overall. Sallie Montgomery led Shawnee with 11 kills, 24 set attempts, one assist, four total service points, one ace and four digs against Mississinawa. Emma Field, Macy Price, and Ally Rike had eight digs and Emily Shields had six digs.

Tri-County North

The Lady Panthers defeated Northridge 25-18, 25-20, 24-26, 28-26 on Oct. 7 to earn their first victory of the season. Kora Lykins had five kills, 26 set attempts, 11 total service points, one ace, one dig and one block. Taylor Cole had five kills, 17 set attempts, seven assists, 11 total service points, one ace, two digs and two blocks. Lola Grieshop had three kills, 21 set attempts, nine total service points, two aces, and two blocks. Kylie Adkins had three kills, 15 set attempts, 14 total service points, three aces, and four digs. Chloe Jackson had two kills, 14 set attempts, 11 total service points, and three aces. Paityn Davidson had 12 total service points and 31 digs. Grace Hemp had six set attempts, seven assists, 28 total service points and three digs.

On Oct. 8 Tri-County North fell to Arcanum 25-8, 25-5, 25-16.

Twin Valley South

The Lady Panthers fell to 4-5 in conference play and 10-10 overall with a 25-11, 25-21, 25-8 loss Oct. 3 at Tri-Village. The Lady Patriots improved to 8-2 and 11-9. Clara Meyers led TVS with four kills, 21 set attempts, one assist, four total service points, and five digs.
