Gospel singer, speaker Sherry Anne to visit Lewisburg

LEWISBURG — Born partially deaf and with a speech impairment, Sherry Anne shares her personal journey of overcoming obstacles and challenges that is relatable and inspirational. She was not diagnosed as hearing-impaired until the age of 5 — she was no longer a problem child, but a child with a problem.

Sherry Anne’s journey includes the story of receiving hearing aids and finding worldly success in academics, athletics, earning a doctorate, but something still missing. In her speaking and concert appearances, Sherry Anne inspires anyone facing any kind of life challenge with her faith-filled music and message of hope.

Sherry Anne has appeared at The Ark Encounter, National Quartet Convention, Gaither Family Fest, and as a special guest at Gaither Vocal Band concerts and the Gaither Homecoming Hershey event. She has been the keynote presenter at conferences nationwide.

On Nov. 9, she will host her first women’s conference and open-to-all concert event: DOVE — Daughters of Virtue Embraced. She has begun advance promotion for this women’s conference event which will also have a standalone concert open to all at the First United Church of Christ, 400 N. Main Street, Lewisburg.

The DOVE Women’s Conference will run 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, with two speaker sessions featuring Sherry Anne and Sharon LaBella, coffee hour and a light lunch. Tickets are $10, and women can pre-register until Nov. 1, by calling Kouts at 937-475-7941.

The standalone, open-to-all concert with Sherry Anne will begin at 1 p.m. Admission is free, but a love offering will be accepted. Everyone is welcome.
