PREBLE & NORTHERN MONGOMERY COUNTIES — The postseason gets underway for area boys and girls soccer teams this week.
Northmont’s boys will open play in the Division II district semifinals on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The No. 3 seed Bolts will host No. 5 Fairmont. The winner advances to the district final on Saturday, Oct. 26.
In Division IV, No. 12 Eaton will travel to No. 4 Oakwood for an opening round game in the North 2 bracket on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The winner will play either No. 7 Calvary Christian or No. 10 Jamestown Greeneview on Saturday, Oct. 19 in the district quarterfinals. The district semifinals are slated for Tuesday, Oct. 22.
In the North 2 bracket, No. 3 Brookville will host No. 15 Graham in the opening round on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The winner will host No. 17 Urbana in the district quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The district semifinals will be held Saturday, Oct. 26.
In Division V, No. 13 Preble Shawnee will travel to No. 11 Sidney Lehman Catholic for a district quarterfinal match up in the North 1 bracket on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. The winner will play either No. 3 Troy Christian or No. 17 Franklin-Monroe in the district semifinal on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
In the Division V, North 2 bracket, No. 12 Tri-County North will host No. 14 Miami Valley at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. The winner will meet either No. 2 Botkins or No. 19 Fairlawn in the district semifinal on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
On the girls’ side, No. 1 seed Northmont will host No. 6 Stebbins in the North 1 district semifinal on Monday, Oct. 21 with the winner advancing to the district final on Thursday, Oct. 24.
In the Division IV, North 2 bracket, No. 6 Eaton will host No. 12 Middletown Madison in the district quarterfinal on Thursday, Oct. 17. The winner will play either No. 8 Kenton Ridge or No. 13 Brookville in the district semifinals on Monday, Oct. 21.
In the Division V, North 1 bracket, No. 5. Preble Shawnee will host No. 11 Dayton Christian in an opening round game on Monday, Oct. 14. If the Arrows win, they will host No. 6 Sidney Lehman Catholic on Thursday, Oct. 17 in a quarterfinal game. The district semifinals are slated for Monday, Oct. 21.
In the North 2 bracket, No. 10 Tri-County North will host No. 14 National Trail in the opening round on Monday, Oct. 14. The winner will travel to No. 3 Anna for a quarterfinal game on Thursday, Oct. 17.
In the North 3 bracket, No. 8 Twin Valley South will host No. 9 West Liberty-Salem in an opening round game on Monday, Oct. 14. The winner will advance to play at No. 7 Newton in the quarterfinals Thursday, Oct. 17.
