Brookville

The Blue Devils suffered a 2-1 league loss Thursday at Oakwood to fall to 3-2-0 in the SWBL and 7-3-0 overall while the Lumberjacks improved to 5-1-0 and 7-7-0. Branson King scored Brookville’s lone goal. Goalkeeper Ayden Cowens made 10 saves. No scoring stats were available for Oakwood.

Eaton

After an 8-0 loss to Bethel on Thursday the Eagles bounced back to post a 2-1 victory Saturday against Franklin to improve to 5-6-1 overall while the Wildcats fell to 1-10-2. Jordan Downs scored both Eaton goals and Tanner Dungan had an assist. Goalkeeper Joel Appledorn made nine saves. No scoring stats were available for Franklin.

Northmont

The Thunderbolts battled to a 2-2 tie with Troy on Thursday and 1-1 tie Saturday against La Salle in back-to-back non-conference contests. Bradyn Dillow and Anden Kemmer each had a goal and an assist and Lucas Hickernell made six saves in goal for the Trojans. Nevin Smith scored two goals while Julian Bazile and Chris Powell had one assist. Ethan Crist made five saves in goal. Chris Henderson scored a goal off an assist by Pedro Acuna and Crist made four saves in goal against La Salle. Joe Harmon scored the Lancers lone goal off an assist by Andrew Reed. Benji Crow made eight saves in goal. Northmont’s record moved to 5-6-2 overall while La Salle moved to 3-7-4.

Preble Shawnee

The Arrow suffered a 4-1 loss Thursday to Tri-County North to fall to 3-4-0 in conference play and 5-6-0 overall while the Panthers improved to 3-4-0 and 6-8-0. Clint Barnes had two goals and one assist, Chase Henry two goals, while Nick Meyer, Wesley Boyd, and Colt Barnes one assist each for TCN. Travis Williams made three saves in goal. Colton Schroeder scored Shawnee’s lone goal off an assist by Kooper Ronto and Andrew Unger made five saves in goal.

GIRLS SOCCER

Brookville

The Lady Devils fell to 1-3-1 in league play and 5-5-2 overall with an 8-1 loss Thursday to Oakwood, which improved to 5-1-0 in SWBL play and 8-4-0 overall. Maddie Tarkany scored an unassisted goal for Brookville. The Jills were led by Ashley Bowden with two goals and one assist. Lily Montgomery, Riley Morrisey, and Kathryn Peters each had one goal and one assist. Sally Altenburg and Madeline Montgomery scored one goal while Mia Allard and Savannah Romer had an assist.

Eaton

The Lady Eagles battled Bethel to a 2-2 tie on Thursday to move to 6-4-3 overall while Bethel moved to 8-1-2. Myla Roberts had one goal and one assist, Jaelin Miller one goal, and Braeden Borgwardt an assist while goalkeeper Hannah Redick made 12 saves for Eaton. No stats were available for Bethel.

National Trail

The Lady Blazers rolled to a 4-1 victory Thursday at Yellow Springs to improve to 5-6-1 overall while the Lady Bulldogs fell to 5-4-0. Olivia Day led National Trail with three goals and Lillian Cordle had one goal. Megan Irvin had two assists while Hannah Henderson and Josie Stiner had an assist and made four saves.

Preble Shawnee

The Lady Arrows improved to 6-0-2 in conference play and 7-2-3 overall with a 3-1 victory Thursday over Tri-County North, which fell to 4-4-0 in the WOAC and 8-6-0 overall. Aubrey Unger had a goal and an assist while Alexis Leach and Lyla Ford had one goal for Shawnee. Reese Myers scored Tri-County North’s lone goal and goalkeeper Chloe Oliver made 13 saves.

VOLLEYBALL

Brookville

The Lady Devils, ranked No. 4 in the state in Division V, improved to 9-0 in the Southwestern Buckeye League and 17-1 overall Thursday by defeating Oakwood 25-12, 25-12, 25-18. Sidney Sprada had 25 kills, 34 set attempts, five total service points, and 14 digs to lead Brookville. Logynn Barr had seven kills, 20 set attempts, 21 total service points, seven aces, 15 digs and one block. Ella Nutter had five kills, 13 set attempts, nine total service points, two digs and one block. Jolie Gudorf had two kills, 11 set attempts, 21 assists, nine total service points, one ace, four digs and one block. Mallory Hoover had two kills, seven set attempts, and one block. Lauren Eller had one kill, 17 assists, 23 total service points, six aces, and six digs. Paloma Carey had 11 digs and Abby Fullenkamp one kill, seven set attempts, and two digs. Oakwood fell to 6-4 in league play and 12-6 overall.

With a 25-22, 25-11, 25-13 victory Thursday over Archbishop Alter the Lady Eagles improved to 9-7 overall. Julianne Deaton had 12 kills, 21 set attempts, and three digs. Shandon Garrett had 11 kills, 24 set attempts, nine total service points, nine digs and one block. Daisy Suggs had four kills, eight set attempts, one assist and one dig. Alexis Oda had three kills, 15 set attempts, two digs and three blocks. Jill Ditmer had three kills, nine set attempts, 10 total service points, one ace, two digs and two blocks. Kenzie Wilson had one kill, 28 assists, 22 total service points, seven aces and six digs. Alter fell to 4-13.

National Trail

The Lady Blazers secured their fourth victory to improve to 4-15 with a 24-26, 26-19, 26-14, 26-14 victory Thursday at Legacy Christian. Kyleigh Ray had nine kills, 27 set attempts, 13 total service points, three aces, seven digs and two blocks. Miranda Ott had eight kills, 34 set attempts, one assist, one dig and one block. Evie Hoffman had three kills, 27 set attempts, 12 total service point, one ace and 12 digs. Kylie Schul had three kills, 17 set attempts, 23 assists, five total service points, and 11 digs. Jaelynn Remaklus had two kills, 14 set attempts, 17 total service points, three aces and 18 digs. Eva Swartsell had three kills, 12 set attempts, and three digs. With a 25-12, 25-27, 25-21, 25-17 loss to Ansonia on Thursday the Lady Arrows fell to 3-6 in conference play and 7-10 overall while the Lady Tigers improved to 6-2 and 10-8. Sallie Montgomery led Shawnee with 14 kills, 23 set attempts, five assists, seven total service points, one ace and 21 digs. Macy Price had eight kills, 18 set attempts, 15 total service points, and 14 digs. Caylee Hatmaker had five kills, 23 set attempts, 10 total service points, two aces, six digs and one block. Emma Fields had four kills, 13 set attempts, two assists, 10 total service points, 18 digs and one block. Ally Rike had three kills, 15 set attempts, 24 assists, 22 total service points, four aces, and 15 digs. The Lady Panthers lost to Newton on Thursday 25-13, 25-13, 25-7 to fall to 0-9 in conference play and 0-16 overall while Newton improved to 5-3 and 11-6. Lola Grieshop had two kills, 10 set attempts, four total service points, two aces and one block. Kiley Adkins had one kill, five set attempts, six total service points and five digs. Taylor Cole had one kill, 14 set attempts, six total service points, one ace and one dig. Chloe Jackson had one kill, 10 set attempts, and five total service points. With an 18-25, 25-12, 25-9, 25-11 loss Thursday to Arcanum the TVS girls volleyball team fell to 4-4 in WOAC play and 9-8 overall while Arcanum improved to 9-0 and 14-2 overall. Clara Meyers led TVS with 10 kills, 34 set attempts, 17 total service points, six aces, nine digs and one block.
