KETTERING — Northmont’s girls cross country team placed ninth and the boys team 10th Saturday in the annual Fairmont Firebird Invitational.
Oakwood took 1st place in the girls Blue Race with Springboro 2nd and Seton 3rd in the 11 team field.
Jazlen Simpson led the Lady Bolts by placing 10th in 20:34.6. Heidi Harmeyer of Seton took 1st place in 19:16.5.
Other Northmont runners included Addison Brown in 25th (21:46.8), Briana Pressel 41st (22:18.2), Lilia Lopez 63rd (23:20.4), Abbie Weeks 89th (24:49.3), Maddie Abbott 99th (27:34.1), Samantha Santana 102nd (28:12.3), Dana Rodriguez 105th (31:49.8), Emily Warren 106th (31:50.3), and Anna Suzuki 107th (33:40.9).
Springboro took 1st place In the high school boys Blue Race with Walnut Hills 2nd and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy 3rd.
Northmont sophomore Dominic Lopez placed 3rd in 16:07.4. Samuel Darmanie of Springboro took 1st in 15:42.4 with Nathaniel Gockerman of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy 2nd in 15:53.5.
Other Northmont runners included Owen Bush 20th (17:03.7), Grant Mergler 57th (17:57.3), Adam Wallace 87th (18:35.6), Nick Diller 98th (18:56.2), Chase Bishop 117th (19:23.2), Alex Moore 123rd (20:32.7), Noah Comer 127th (21:07.1), Henry Colley-Lambright 132nd (22:57.6), Jacob Goble 135th (24:54.2), and Cade Matthews 136th (26:12.6).
