Crew members from Barton Marlow were busy last Friday razing the former Brookville National Bank drive-thru located on Hay Avenue. Barton Marlow demolished the two bays and the drive-thru building so the city of Brookville can transform the area into a public parking lot. The crew had an audience while tearing down the drive-thru. Four- and five-year-old youngsters attending preschool at the Community United Methodist Church, located across the street from the drive-thru, gathered in the church’s front yard to watch the demolition take place. Barton Mallow, the contractor at the General Motors DMAX plant currently under construction in Brookville, volunteered to do the demolition.
