Eaton Fall Family Day growing

EATON — With less than a month to go before its annual Fall Family Day at Seven Mile Park, City of Eaton Parks and Recreation has announced it is adding a new activity to the event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5: a “Jeepers Creepers” fall/Halloween-themed Jeep show.

Fall Family Day and the Jeepers Creepers event will run from 2-6 p.m. at Seven Mile Park. This year promises to be the best one yet, with an array of exciting activities and entertainment for all ages, according to organizers.

Open to all models of Jeeps, the Jeep show is a free event and registration is not required. Jeep owners can decorate their vehicles in the autumn/Halloween theme, but it is not required. Show parking will begin at 1 p.m. Awards will be given for Best Theme, Best Modified, People’s Choice and Best of Show.

Families can look forward to live music by The Flannels, food from various vendors, and other retail vendors, city officials said in a recent press release. Kids will enjoy picking out a free pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, face painting, and more. Inflatables this year include some never-before-seen activities for all ages, including a mechanical pumpkin ride.

Back by popular demand, children can also once again participate in Paint the Plow with Preble Arts, adding their artistic touch to the snowplow which will be on display at the Downtown Eaton White Christmas festivities, to help kick off the 2024 holiday season.

Fall Family Day 2024 is sponsored by Eaton Parks & Recreation, Preble County Development Partnership, Neaton Automotive, Wallace Heating & Air, Lawn Plus, Downtown Eaton, Twin Valley Bank, and Preble Arts.
