Preble County events featured in new Fall Events Guide

PREBLE COUNTY — As travelers turn their vacation aspirations toward spooky encounters, lively Oktoberfests, and cider-fueled pumpkin patch strolls, Preble County Convention and Visitors Bureau last week announced the debut of the official 2024 Ohio Fall Events Guide, featuring events across the state, including Preble County.

Now available online at Ohio.org, the guide spotlights five standout events from each of Ohio’s 88 counties, showcasing a total of 440 must-see happenings across the state. Organized by month and region, the guide is your ultimate roadmap to discovering Ohio’s most unique and unforgettable fall adventures.

“Ohio in the fall is pure magic,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development, which oversees TourismOhio. “From vibrant foliage to festivals that bring our rich traditions to life, there’s no better time to explore everything Ohio has to offer.”

TourismOhio consulted with county visitor bureaus to curate this list of events that take place from September through early November. From iconic Ohio traditions like the Circleville Pumpkin Show and the Ohio Renaissance Festival to beloved local gems like the Preble County Pork Festival, New Paris Apple Fest, West Alexandria Oktoberfest, Eaton Fall Family Day and this year’s Cowboy Fall Classic, the guide has it all. Travelers will also find a range of seasonal harvest festivals – celebrating everything from pumpkins, apples, and corn to pawpaws, potatoes, and grapes.

“With cooler temperatures and sunny skies, fall is the perfect time to explore Ohio,” said State Tourism Director Sarah Wickham. “Whether you’re up for a festive adventure or a serene getaway, fall in Ohio offers the perfect blend of beauty and excitement.”

The Fall Events Guide is new for TourismOhio, following the successful debut of the official 2024 Ohio Summer Events Guide earlier this year at Ohio Tourism Day. Readers can learn more about events at online at Ohio.org, making trip planning a breeze.

“Fall is always a special time in Preble County, and we’re excited to have our local events marketed alongside those across Ohio,” Preble County CVB Secretary Leslie Collins said last week.

TourismOhio is set to roll-out even more fall-focused content as the season unfolds. Travelers can expect new inspiration and trip-planning tools in the coming weeks at Ohio.org. Those looking for ideas for one last summer getaway can still check out the summer landing page.
