Northmont area community family events slated

PHILLIPSBURG — Salem Market Days Cruise In will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Salem Church of the Brethren at the corner of Diamond Mill and Phliipsburg-Union roads.

A community event featuring a cruise in, live music and vendors. All are welcome to drop in with their favorite car or stop by to check out who has cruised in. Cigar Box Scott will be playing live from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Tops Best Foods will be serving up delicious Southern BBQ. Local vendors will have handmade, homemade or homegrown items available. And Solvita Blood Center will be on site with their donation bus. Sign up to donate at 937-461-3220.

Homecoming event

Northmont Homecoming Food Truck Rally is set for Thursday, Oct. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wagoner Power Equipment (back of property adjacent to Centennial Park).

Join in following the Northmont Homecoming Parade for a food truck rally. The Northmont Marching Band will be there as well as the fire department lighting the bonfire.

Northmont swag will be available for purchase from BAS Customs. Worthington Goudy will be on site with permanent jewelry. The food truck lineup is: The Lumpia Queen, Tops Best Foods, Lilia’s Outside Café, Yummy Gyro Food Truck, ShowDogs Hotdogs, Mom Andrasik’s Hungarian Cabbage Rolls, Big Poppin Kettle Corn, Billie Gold Bubble Tea, Diamond Daiquiris, and Blue Bus Coffee.

Holiday Trail

The Englewood Holiday Trail & Tree Lighting will be held Saturday, Nov. 30 from 4 – 7 p.m. Participants will visit marked businesses along National Road and Main Street.

The second annual Englewood Holiday Trail & Tree Lighting offers the community a fun night filled with holiday cheer! Walk along the holiday trail, stopping at participating businesses.

Each business will offer something free (food or activity) to represent a theme of their choice. New this year, free carriage rides will be available sponsored by the City of Englewood.

Participants can start the Holiday Trail at any location beginning at 4 p.m. Make your way to the Englewood’s outdoor Christmas tree at the corner of National and Main at 5:50 p.m. to enjoy carolers.

Experience the magic of the tree lighting at 6 p.m. Then make your way to the Englewood Government Center to see Santa and enjoy the sounds of the Englewood Civic Band. This event is free to the community and open to everyone.
