Area golfers compete in 2nd of three SWBL Tourneys

KETTERING — The Brookville golf team placed ninth Saturday at the second SWBL Tournament with a score of 369, a 29 stroke improvement over the first tourney held Aug. 7.

Eaton was 12th with a 421, an eight stroke improvement. Gabe McCarty led the Eagles with an 86. He also shot 86 in the first tourney and is 11th overall in the combined tournament scoring totals.

The second tournament was played Saturday at Community Golf Course in Kettering. A third SWBL Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 16 at Beechwood Golf Course in Arcanum.

Troy Peak led the Blue Devils with a round of 87, a ten stroke improvement from the first SWBL Tournament. He is currently 22nd overall in the combined scoring totals.

C.J. Scohy of Bellbrook shot a low round of one under par 70 and is currently in 1st place with a combined total of 141.

Daelon Wackerman of Brookville is currently 34th overall. He shot 93 Saturday, a five stroke improvement over the 1st tournament. Teammate Jackson Kleismit is 38th overall. He shot 94 on Saturday, and 11 stroke improvement.

Lukas Osswald (Brookville) is 41st overall. He shot a 95 at Community, a 21 stroke improvement over the 1st SWBL Tourney. Hunter Gibson (Brookville) is 42nd overall. He came in at 102, a nine stroke improvement.

Landon Ozbun (Eaton) sits in 45th place overall. He carded 104 Saturday, a 15 stroke improvement. Maxon Elstro (Eaton) is 48th overall. He shot 111 Saturday to cut five strokes off his 1st SWBL score.

Hayden Caylor (Eaton) is 52nd overall. He shot 138 at the first SWBL Tourney and 121 Saturday.
