EATON — On Sunday, August 25, Eaton High School Sophomore Sydney Atkinson attended the 2024 Summer Intensive Onyx World Clinic in Dayton. Onyx is a 5-time World Champion in both the World and Open Class. The Onyx Winterguard program is intensive, and provides audiences with a unique experience. Atkinson took the Class A and Open Class Rifle class and excelled in both. She started Colorguard as a middle schooler and now participates in Eaton’s High School program. “Sydney is a dream to work with. She never complains and always gives 110 percent for me. She enjoys working with the rifle and sabre more than the flag, but I know with more time and experience, she will be ready for these top competitive groups. We are so proud of her for following her dreams,” said Lisa White, Eaton High School Guard Director.
