The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sunday, June 2, Englewood 240000923: Wayne A. Schaaf, 43, of West Milton, arrested on felony warrant and taken to the county jail.

Monday, June 3, Englewood 240000942: Johnny D. Kenard II, 21, of Dayton 45406, arrested on Trotwood warrant and taken to the county jail.

Wednesday, June 5, Englewood 240000946: Jason A. Lewis, 24, of Dayton 45405, violating a protection order. Taken to the county jail.

Thursday, June 6, Englewood 240000948: Chance Ward, 47, of Piqua, arrested on parole violation warrant and taken to the county jail.

Englewood 240000954: James R. Stratenberger, 50, at large, charged with theft at Walmart. Released with court summons.

Englewood 240000956: Bo D. Ellis, 24, of Dayton 45405, arrested on warrant out of Xenia. Ellis was transported to Woodman Drive and turned over to a Bellbrook police officer.

Friday, June 7, Englewood 240000958: Kimberly L. Kelly, 29, of Dayton 45402, Brandy N. Dancer, 43, of Trotwood, Nakyra R. Finkley, 23, of Moraine, and a 17-year-old female, were charged with theft at Walmart. The three adults were taken to the county jail and the juvenile to the juvenile detention center.

Englewood 240000962: James L. Robinson, 69, of Dayton 45406, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension, and marked lanes of travel. Robinson has three prior convictions for OVI (1998, 2022, and 2024). He was taken to the county jail.

Friday, Aug. 2, Brookville 2400275: Christina S. Sprinkle, 32, of Brookville, was charged with obstructing official business, driving under suspension, driver license misrepresentation, and failure to register. He was taken to the county jail.

Saturday, Aug. 3, Brookville 2400276: Justin R. Puterbaugh, 38, of Brookville, charged with littering for throwing a cigarette out his car door and onto the street. Released with court summons.

Tuesday, Aug. 6, Brookville 2400279: A vehicle parked and left abandoned on Leisure Drive since December 2023 was towed by police order. Nathaniel M. Leukhardt, 29, of Miamisburg, will be issued a court summons for having an expired license plate.

Brookville 2400280: A semi-truck struck and knocked down “One Way” and “Do Not Enter” signs on the Interstate 70 westbound off ramp. A suspect was not found.

Wednesday, Aug. 7, Brookville 2400282: Rickey G. Sparks, 63, of Brookville, failure to obey traffic control devices. Issued court summons.

Friday, Aug. 9, Brookville 2400285: Brittany K. Fietz, 28, of Brookville, charged with confinement or restraint of dog after her pit bull attacked and seriously injured a neighbor’s cat, which had to be euthanized. She was issued a court summons.

Saturday, Aug. 10, Clayton 240000855: An officer responded to Dollar General on the report of a theft. A female subject took a bag of trail mix and bottle of pop and left without paying. The officer spoke to the female who admitted to taking the items because she was down on her luck. Officer Deskins took the female and her male companion back into the store and purchased food items for both before providing them with a courtesy ride to their apartment on Denlinger Road.

Sunday, Aug. 11, Clayton 240000859: A 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe was reported stolen from Vinway Court.

Tuesday, Aug. 13, Clayton 240000865: A male subject found sitting in a chair on a front porch in the 5500 block of National Rd. was trespassed from the property. The homeowner did not know the male but had observed him walking around in the area in the past. Police issued the male a criminal trespass warning.
