Eaton resident a delegate at Democratic National Convention

EATON — Deloris Rome Hudson will be attending her seventh Democratic National Convention this week. She will be a delegate from the 8th Congressional District. She lives in Eaton, with her husband, Paul.

Along with attending the convention, she will attend caucus meetings to cover issues on women’s rights, Black rights, labor, and education.

Rome-Hudson worked in Hamilton, teaching at Garfield, Hamilton High School, and the Freshman School. She is a retired Family and Consumer Science teacher with the Hamilton City Schools. She served as president of the Hamilton Classroom Teachers Association for 15 years.

She also serves on the McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, Miami University Black Alumni Advisory Council, Southwestern Ohio Education Executive Committee, the Ohio Education Association Board of Directors, and as president of the Butler County Retired Teachers Association.

“I’m very excited about attending the convention. It should be energizing and joyful because of the excitement around Vice President Harris,” Rome-Hudson said in a release last week.
