BROOKVILLE — The Brookville High School band will once again be participating in the annual Goodwill Drive to Victory – Band Edition.

Brookville has participated in this event since 2011, which benefits those in the Miami Valley by donating items that are sold in Goodwill stores. Monies raised from these donations help support Easter Seals programs as well as support 40 programs and services in 29 counties across Ohio including the new resource center for all in Trotwood.

Brookville will participate in the Goodwill Drive to Victory August 26-29. Attendants will be at the truck in the high school lot Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Receipts can be provided for donations if you like.

Accepted items include the following: clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, household items, toys, medical equipment, furniture, small working appliances, computers, electronics (no tube TVs will be accepted). Cars and boats can be donated by calling 937-228-AUTO and scheduling a pick up.

Make sure to say it is for Brookville Schools so that the school can add 1,000 lbs. to its total weight donation. Brookville is very grateful for the continuous community support allowing us to claim the overall champion for the last nine years running providing scholarship money as well as money for the band.

This year the band hopes to be able to purchase tubas with the money. So, now is the time to clean and purge your home and bring your donations over to the school, August 26-29. The band thanks everyone for their continued support.
