EATON — Calling it a “heartwarming display of inclusion and empowerment,” the Preble County Junior Fair held its first “Hearts of Preble County” Show on Thursday, Aug. 1, a special event held to “shine a spotlight on the remarkable abilities of its special needs youth.”
In a press release prior to the Preble County Fair which concluded last Saturday, the Junior Fair Board noted it has “adapted its principles to embrace inclusivity and diversity.” There were more than 30 participants, ages 8 years and older, who took part in the event.
“We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to feel proud of their achievements. The Hearts of Preble County show not only celebrates the talents of these remarkable individuals but also fosters a sense of belonging and community spirit,” the release noted.
Awards were sponsored by several area businesses.
