Monday, Aug. 5

DIY Bouncy Balls, 6-7 p.m.

What gives bouncy balls their amazing bounce? Kids ages 6-12 should bring their friends and find out then make a DIY version of their own!

Tuesday, Aug. 6

Tween Tuesday, 3-4 p.m.

Kids ages 9-12 can meet up with their friends and hang out, play video games, watch anime, make crafts and more. Each week is something different! Registration is not required.

D&D at the Library, Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, 6-8 p.m.

Action & adventure awaits you! Join us for a session of Dungeons & Dragons 5e at the library. We’ll be playing the starter set campaign, Dragons of Stormwreck Isle. Players may use one of the premade characters or create their own! Email [email protected] if you’d like more information.

No experience is necessary, players of all experience levels are welcome.

Thursday, Aug. 8

Tiny Stacks Concert, 6-8:30 p.m.

Patrons of all ages are invited to come listen to The Nautical Theme folk duo who will perform in the library as part of the Tiny Stacks Music Series. This is the third collaboration with Dayton Metro Library, WYSO of Yellow Springs, and the International College of Broadcasting! Registration is not required.

PAWS to Read Storytime, 6-7:15 p.m.

Each month the Brookville Branch library gives Golden Retriever Couper, the chance to meet young ones and listen to stories during the Paws to Read program. Families have the opportunity to register for one of four individual one-on-one reading sessions with Couper, a certified therapy dog affiliated with the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association (MVPTA).

A whole-group story time is presented halfway through the sessions and those who aren’t able to read to Couper are welcome to attend the story time. Couper will be available to pet and love on during that time frame.

There are only four sessions available to read to Couper so please register in advance online at daytonmetrolibrary.org on the Upcoming Events Brookville Branch Events tab, call 937-463-2665 or at the library.

Saturday, Aug. 10

Adult DIY: Mosaic Coasters, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Adults please come to the library to create a set of four mosaic coasters to give as a gift or to keep for themselves! All materials will be provided. Registration is required.
