EATON — On Saturday, July 20, the stage at the Star Theater lit up with several performances as Preble Arts and the Theater came together for what organizers are calling an “unforgettable Open Mic Night.”

The audience was buzzing as they witnessed Zoe Superka, a guitar student at Preble Arts under the guidance of Daniel Ryan, perform two original songs. The evening also featured a heartwarming act starring a grandmother and her grandson, which added a touching family element to the night.

Preble Arts Director Michelle Buckley described the atmosphere as electric, highlighting a skilled performer who flawlessly played his electric guitar to a Jimi Hendrix classic.

“Our community’s support and contribution mean everything to us,” Buckley said. “A special thank you to the Star Theater for providing the stage and spotlights, and to the wonderful Daniel Ryan for being an excellent co-host for the event. Your presence made all the difference.”

The event showcased the vibrant and diverse talent within the community, creating an evening filled with music, laughter, and camaraderie. Preble Arts and the Star Theater look forward to hosting more events that bring the community together through the arts.
