EATON — Help raise the summer blood supply by donating at the ninth annual Vincent Jones Memorial Blood Drive, Saturday, July 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Eaton First Church of God, 601 East Lexington Road.

Everyone who registers to donate is invited to enjoy a free pancake and sausage breakfast, will receive the new “From One to Many” beach towel, and will be automatically entered in the drawing for two tickets to Taylor Swift’s Nov. 3 show at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The blood drive celebrates the life of Vincent Jones, a young Eaton father who was 38 years old when he lost his battle with leukemia in June 2016. He received multiple blood component transfusions during his treatment, helping him survive long enough to see his newborn son Jeremiah.

Vincent Jones’ widow Mindy Sue Jones-Vannatter coordinated the first “Vincent Strong” blood drive in August 2016 to thank blood donors and to support the fight against blood cancer.
