Senior Center unveiling new space Wednesday

On Wednesday, July 10, the Preble County Council on Aging (original facility shown here) will unveil its new expanded facilities following a special ribbon cutting celebrating its completed expansion project.

EATON — After years of planning and more than a year of construction, the Preble County Council on Aging will reveal its new expansion following a special ribbon cutting on Wednesday, July 10. The public is invited to join in the celebration.

Hosted with the help of the Preble County Chamber of Commerce, the ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, when the Preble County Council on Aging unveils its new and improved facilities “designed to better serve our beloved seniors,” a chamber announcement noted.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new space, meet the PCCOA staff, and learn about the programs and activities the agency has in store.

“Bring your friends and family, and help us celebrate this wonderful milestone,” the announcement continued.

The Preble County Council on Aging Senior Center is located at 800 E. St. Clair St. in Eaton.

The PCCOA broke ground for the expansion project March 23, 2023, as it celebrated its 50th year in existence.

The mission of the Preble County Council on Aging is to “partner with our community with assuring the best quality of life for our seniors, now and into the future.” The agency advocates and provides resources for seniors to remain healthy and independent.
