BROOKVILLE — The Brookville Branch Library hosted its second annual Craft Fair on Saturday, June 15, and attracted over 2,300 people who shopped at 79 local artisan vendors’ booths. They also had the opportunity to purchase delectable treats from local food trucks and food merchants.

“I’m very pleased with how this year’s event went,” said library branch manager Damian Kristof. “We learned from the first iteration and had a more cohesive flow through the booths, a shuttle to help transport attendees from the parking lot to the library and expansion of the area for the food trucks. Our library staff does such a great job making sure the day runs smoothly and I’m so impressed by how the community comes together to help make this such a great event!”

A new addition to this year’s fair were nine raffle baskets filled with donations from many of the vendors. The funds from the raffle will go to support library programs. Over $300 was brought in from those raffle baskets.

The library would like to thank the following donors for their generous gifts: Angie’s Attributes, BAC Customs, Bemba’s Bowtique, BevArt Expressions, Billie Gold Bubble Tea, Bland’s Creative Crafts, BrookHaven Retirement Community, Debbie Brumback, Delta Theta Tau, Designs by T, East Main Laserworks LLC, Eileen Cook, Erin Warren, Friends of the Library, GeoCeramics, Grandma Gina’s Arts & Crafts, Inspired Creations, Iuliia Goncharuk, Jennifer McHargue, Judy Woodward, Kevin Dale Vaughn, Liftoff Woodworks, M^3 Studio, Majestic Garden, Matched Candle Co., Minding My Own Business, Nene Lee Designs, Nina Don Art & Craft, One Stop Geek Shop, Rebecca Dill, Tanya’s Handmade, The Apiary of Brian Wray, The Canine Kitchen, TNT Designs4You, Tony Perry, and What’s The Scoop.

The library is also grateful to the Brookville Police Department for help with traffic control and pathing and the Brookville Schools for allowing the use of their parking lots, driveway, picnic tables, dumpster and golf cart. The school’s Director of Support, Dave Williamson was a huge help with the delivery and placement of the tables and dumpster.

The library was open to serve patrons and hosted carnival type activities for the kids in the community room. It also gave visitors a place to sit down and cool off inside and gave families a chance to win a Dayton Metro Library “Swag Bag” by taking part in a library related seek and find hunt. The Midwestern MRS, Georgia Evans, provided a mini-concert filled with the sounds of blues, country and folk.
