The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Saturday, June 8, Clayton 240000612: A 2023 white Hyundai Palisade was stolen from the 6800 block of Park Vista Rd. The vehicle was unlocked with both sets of keys inside. Dayton Police found the vehicle in their jurisdiction on Lutz Avenue but the keys were no longer in the vehicle. A gold purse belonging to another crime victim was found in the Palisade and a firearm was missing from the purse. A credit card stolen in Brookville was also located in the Palisade.

Clayton 240000613: Unknown subjects entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 6800 block of Ranch Hill Dr. and stole a handgun from the center console and a gold purse containing a handgun.

Clayton 240000614: A 2017 Chevrolet Malibu was stolen from a driveway in the 4000 block of Rundell Dr. A key fob was left in the vehicle but the doors were locked. A neighbor provided Ring doorbell camera footage showing a white Hyundai Palisade and a Toyota SUV reported stolen out of Brookville pull down the street with multiple people exiting the vehicles and then checking all vehicles on the street to see if they were unlocked. Dayton Police later found the Malibu parked in the 1800 block of Ruskin Rd. Clayton responded to the scene to check the Malibu for evidence. The owner also responded to the scene and said nothing was missing from the vehicle other than the key fob.

Sunday, June 9, Brookville 2400181: Byron E. Armstrong, 64, of Brookville, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, issued a court summons, and released to a sober driver.

Tuesday, June 11, Brookville 2400182: Laura E. Jones, 64, of Huber Heights, was charged with having expired plates after police found a trailer registered to her parked on Meadow Glen Avenue with a flat tire. The trailer was impounded.

Clayton 240000629: Juan E. Ford, 53, of Dayton 45415, was charged with display of plates, driving under child support suspension, and was arrested on a warrant out of Miami Township for failure to appear. He was incarcerated.

Wednesday, June 12, Brookville 2400184: Diana T. Hoskins, 18, of Brookville, was charged with license restriction violation, lighted lights required, no tail lights, and rear plate light. She was incarcerated.

Thursday, June 13, Clayton 240000638: Michael C. Day, 38, of Xenia, was charged with display of plates, driving under child support suspension, driving under a court/major offense suspension, and was arrested on warrants out of Greene and Miami Counties. He was incarcerated.

Friday, June 14, Brookville 2400186: A male subject was issued a notice of criminal trespass at Wendy’s.
