Eaton Farmer’s Market offering variety of items

EATON — The Downtown Eaton Farmer’s Market provides a wide range of products for local consumers to pick up fresh on Saturday mornings.

Current offerings at the weekly market are brown eggs, locally raised grass-fed lamb and beef, a large variety of baked goods, some flowers and plants, and locally grown produce as it is market ready.

“The season for this is picking up each week,” volunteer organizer Marcia Glenn said of the produce available.

Locally hand-crafted items are also available.

“Our mission for our Farmer’s Market is that the products offered have to be home-raised, grown, baked, made or hand-created in some way locally by the seller,” Glenn added. “We do not offer any commercial type products such as Avon, Mary Kay, etc.”

The Downtown Eaton Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. rain or shine, through September.

“We would appreciate any support as that is what is needed to keep this market available for the community,” she added.
