Brookville Area Handivan transports the elderly and handicapped to their appointments at no cost. This ministry is a local partnership of churches and Christian volunteers. Community United Methodist Church is a big supporter of the program.

BROOKVILLE — The Brookville Area Handivan recently announced the return of its popular Dessert Contest and Auction at this year’s Brookville Community Picnic.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 27, with the contest entries and auction held at the Leiber Center.
Event Details:
• Date: Saturday, July 27.
• Entry Drop-off: 10:30 – 11 a.m.
• Location: Leiber Center in Golden Gate Park, 545 Upper Lewisburg Salem Rd.
• Entry Fee: $1 per dessert
• Auction Start Time: 1 p.m.
• Auction Location: Main Stage.

Prizes:
• First Place: $20
• Second Place: $15
• Third Place: $10
• Grand Prize: $40
Participants are invited to showcase their baking skills by entering their best desserts into one of the four categories. Entries should be dropped off at the Leiber Center between 10:30 and 11 a.m. on July 27, along with the $1 entry fee per dessert. Judging will take place, and winners will be announced before the auction begins at 1 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to bring back the Dessert Contest and Auction, which has always been a highlight of the Brookville Community Picnic,” said Angie Dull of the Brookville Chamber. “This event not only showcases the incredible baking talent in our community but also supports the vital services provided by Brookville Area Handivan.”
The auction is a fantastic opportunity for attendees to bid on delicious homemade desserts while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting Brookville Area Handivan, which provides essential transportation services to our community.
