All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Saturday, May 11, Clayton 240000505: A resident of Clinton Street was issued a written warning for having a dog at large.

Monday, May 13, Clayton 240000509: A 2015 Kia Optima was stolen from the 6000 block of Cheri Lynne Dr. at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Clayton 240000515: Gabriel O. Guzman, 21, of Clayton 45315, obstructing official business. Incarcerated.

Tuesday, May 14, Clayton 240000517: Police responded to the 4400 block of Oren Road on the attempted theft of a Kia Sportage. Dispatch advised multiple males wearing hoodies ran from the scene. An officer driving south on Janice Place spotted the suspects, who ran in different directions when they saw the police cruiser. The Kia had its steering column stripped and police found a flathead screwdriver in the ignition that was seized as evidence.

Clayton 240000518: A 2003 Ford F250 containing an Echo commercial backpack blower, Echo hand held blower, Craftsman commercial string trimmer, rakes, brooms, miscellaneous landscaping tools, and a black Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun, and a woman’s wallet with credit cards and IDs, was stolen from the 3200 block of Northfield Dr. The truck was left unlocked with the key inside.

Clayton 240000522: A female was issued a criminal trespass warning and told not to return to a residence in the 5800 block of Summersweet Dr.

Clayton 240000523: Unknown subjects entered a Dodge Ram pickup parked in the 6800 block of Morrow Dr. Various items that were stored in the glovebox and middle console were strewn about inside the vehicle and the ignition keyhole was damaged in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle. Police received security footage of a small sedan with several suspects pulling on vehicle door handles at several homes on Highfield Drive.

Wednesday, May 15, Brookville 2400152: A 2018 Volkswagen Passat SE that was left unlocked with the keys inside, was stolen from Rumblewood Court. Dayton Police later found the vehicle unoccupied with no keys inside and with rear license plate missing.

Brookville 2400153: Police responded to a hit and skip crash in the 600 block of Arlington Road. A business surveillance camera revealed a yellow Penske truck with unknown registration struck the victim’s vehicle.

Saturday, May 18, Brookville 2400156: Chase Newton, 25, of Dubin, Ind., cited for reasonable control. Issued court summons.

Monday, May 20, Brookville 2400157: Kory C. Davis, 18, of Brookville, and Seth P. Hoover, 18, of Brookville, were each charged with obstruction of justice and Branson L. Esterline, 18, of Brookville, and Elijah J.D. Shockley, 18, of Brookville, were each charged with obstruction of official business and underage consumption. All four were issued a court summons.

Brookville 2400158: A male and female were trespassed from the Brookville Inn for smoking in their motel room and setting off the fire alarm.

Wednesday, May 22, Brookville 2400159: Clifford G. Dover, 48, of Dayton 45402, arrested on a warrant and transported to county jail.

Thursday, May 23, Brookville 2400161: Hayden M. Hensel, 31, of Bellefontaine, was arrested on warrants out of Brookville and Mason and transported to the county jail.
