Devils golf team

places 7th at Eaton

EATON — Brookville’s boys golf team finished 7th Wednesday at the Eaton Invitational with a score of 191.

Oakwood took 1st with a 146 followed by Valley View 170, Waynesville 172, Carlisle 172, Madison 184, Eaton 189, and Brookville 191.

Drew Holt led the Blue Devils with a 46 while Jackson Kleismit had a 47, Landon Tent 48, Troy Peak 50, Isaiah Hoff 50, and Daelon Wackerman 65.

Tuesday the Blue Devils placed 6th at Browns Run in the Madison Invitational. Oakwood took 1st with 146, followed by Valley View 181, Waynesville 187, Carlisle 189, Eaton 190, Brookville 191, and Madison 200.

Holt led Brookville with a 43, followed by Trent (47), Peak (51), Wackerman (55), Kleismit (56), and Hoff (58).

Brookville boys soccer

defeats Greenon 5-0

BROOKVILLE — The Blue Devils soccer team scored a 5-0 victory Tuesday against Greenon.

Goals were scored by Lucas Byrne, Braden Chambers, Ryan Clemmons, Branson King and Roman Whorton. King had one assist and Whorton two.

Goalkeeper Ayden Cowens made six saves to earn the shutout as Brookville improved to 4-1-3 overall.

Lady Devils volleyball

wins fourth straight

BROOKVILLE — The Lady Devils volleyball team extended its win streak to four with victories Monday over Tri-County North and Tuesday against Oakwood.

Brookville defeated Tri-County North 25-11, 25-11, 25-10. Sidney Sprada had 11 kills, Bree Albertson seven, Logynn Barr six and Mallory Hoover five.

Anela Hoops, Madisyn Cantrell, Barr and Sprada had five digs apiece. Laci Jerome and Ella Nutter both had two blocks.

Tuesday the Lady Devils scored a 25-22, 25-13, 25-11 victory over Oakwood. Sprada had 13 kills and Barr 11. Sprada had nine digs, Paloma Carey eight, Melina Davidson six, Lauren Eller four, Barr four, Cantrell four, Hoover two, Nutter two, and Albertson one.

With the victories Brookville improved to 10-1 overall and 4-1 in Southwestern Buckeye League play.

T’bolts soccer team

defeats Miamisburg

MIAMISBURG — With a 6-5 win Tuesday at Miamisburg the Northmont boys soccer team improved to 7-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in Greater Western Ohio Conference play while the Vikings fell to 2-5-0 and 1-2-0.

Thunderbolts’ goals were scored by Julian Bazile, Nasir Eloi, Trevor Haire, Chisom Ibe, Christian Moncrief and Nevin Smith. Eloi had two assists with one each by Elliott Moyer, Haire, and Smith.

Alex Hardy made eight saves while surrendering five goals. Keegan Pickering led the Vikings with two goals.

On Thursday, Sept. 7 the Thunderbolts defeated Butler 3-2. Nevin Smith had two goals and Nasir Eloi had one. Assists came from Chris Powell, Eloi, and Moncrief. Hardy made four saves in goal.

Jadon Gyan and A.J. Holderman scored for Butler. Connor Grolnick and Holderman had assists. With the loss Butler fell to 5-1-1 overall.

Lady Bolts golf

CLAYTON — On Monday, the Northmont girls golf team scored a 199-205 non-conference win over Butler at Meadowbrook at Clayton Golf Course.

The varsity broke 200 for the second time this season on Senior Night while JV team also won its match 271-280.

Tuesday at The Mound Golf Course the Lady Bolts lost by one stroke, 204-205, to Miamisburg after a short rain delay.

Northmont boys golf

defeats Miamisburg

MIAMISBURG — The Thunderbolts defeated the Vikings 163-168 Monday on the back nine at Pipestone Golf Course.

J.J. Morgan led Northmont with a 40 to finish as co-medalist. Ben Dawson, Hayden Davis, and Brady Canan each carded a 41 with Eli Siehl coming in with a 42.

On Sept. 7 the Thunderbolts placed 5th at the Middletown Christian Invitational at Browns Run Golf Course.

Tippecanoe took 1st with 308, followed by Madeira 331, Northwestern 338, National Trail 340, Northmont 340, Carroll 351, Middletown Christian 360, Cincinnati Christian 380, William Henry Harrison 390, Wayne 398, Groveport Madison 399, and Eaton 440.

J.J. Morgan tied for 5th overall with a 79. Ben Dawson scored an 85, Brady Canan 87 and Jack Siehl 89.
