Tuesday, Aug. 8

Tween Tuesday: Snap Circuits, 3-4 p.m.

Kids ages 9 to 12-years old can learn how circuits work, then design, build and test circuits using the library’s snap circuits kits! Please register in advance under the Brookville Branch Events tab online at daytonmetrolibrary.org, by calling 937-463-2665 or at the library.

History Buff Book Club: “The Spy and the Traitor, the Greatest Espionage Story of the Cold War,” 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Attention history buffs, there’s a book club that meets every other month to read and discuss historical fiction and nonfiction. August’s book is The Spy and the Traitor: The Greatest Espionage Story of the Cold War by Ben Macintyre. Thursday, Aug. 10

LEGO Hex Bug Mazes, 11 a.m.-noon

Kids ages 6-12 will use the library’s many LEGO blocks to build the biggest, fanciest maze anyone can make for a hex bug! Please register in advance under the Brookville Branch Events tab online at daytonmetrolibrary.org, by calling 937-463-2665 or at the library.

Will it Waffle?, 3-5 p.m.

What else can be made in a waffle maker? Teens in grades 7-12 can join Miss Ally to find out by following recipes or making up new ones. All supplies will be provided.

Saturday, Aug. 12

Adult Yoga, 10-11 a.m.

This program if for those adults looking for a low-impact way to do yoga. An instructor from Day Yoga Studio will be at the library to teach a Beginner Yoga class. This is will be an active program, so wear clothes that can be moved in.
