Clayton Parks Commission seeks volunteer

CLAYTON — The Clayton City Council is seeking a Clayton resident to volunteer on the Clayton Parks Advisory Commission.

This volunteer board is made of up nine members who are responsible for providing recommendations to Clayton City Council about issues affecting the city’s parks.

They also plan and carry out community outreach events throughout the year, including the Northmont Dance Party, monthly Senior Lunch and Learns, the annual spring park clean up event, Movie in the Park, Northmont Family Night at Meadowbrook, Labor Day Fireworks & Festival, Costumes & Carvings and Breakfast with Santa.

The Parks Advisory Commission meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Clayton Government Center.
