All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, May 25, Clayton Report 230000595: Bennie T. Garrett, 44, of Muncie, Ind., was charged with possession of drugs and was arrested on a warrant out of Brookville. He was transported to the county jail.

Sunday, May 28, Brookville Report 23-00217: Police responded to a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Brookville Pyrmont and Crawford Toms Run roads. No one from either vehicle reported being injured. Jodi M. Miller, 49, of Brookville, was cited for failure to yield right of way.

Clayton Report 230000604: Jay D. Brown, 26, of Clayton, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving under suspension. He was issued a court summons. A valid driver arrived to retrieve him and his vehicle.

Clayton Report 230000609: Criminal damaging was reported in the 6800 block of Morrow Dr. The homeowners came home to discover their screen door damaged. They checked their ring camera and saw two black males on their front porch. One was wearing a black hat, mask, white shirt and black pants. The other had his shirt pulled up over his face like a mask and black pants. They walked up to the door, turned around, counted to three and “donkey kicked” the screen door before running off.

Tuesday, May 30, Brookville Report 23-00218: Trisha L. Chastain, 43, of Brookville, was arrested on a felony warrant and transported to the county jail.

Wednesday, May 31, Brookville Report 23-00219: Police responded to the area of Wolf Creek Street and Western Avenue on a crash with an injury. Craig N. Fryman, 22, of Brookville, was cited for failure to yield and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Union Report 23-000000202: Police responded to the intersection of Lang Court and Charles Place on the report of a dog that attacked and bit another dog on the neck and head while being walked by its owner. The owner also sustained an injury. Loretta Whitford, 71, of Union, was charged with dog at large, animal bite quarantine order and a notice of dog status information. She was issued a court summons.

Thursday, June 1, Brookville Report 23-00220: Police responded to the intersection of South Wolf Creek Street and East Westbrook Road on a traffic accident. Alison M. Grow, 40, of Hamilton, was cited for right-of-way at stop sign.

Brookville Report 23-00221: Police responded to the 300 block of South Wolf Creek St. on a property damage crash where a vehicle rear-ended a parked vehicle. Philip L. Brissey, 69, of West Alexandria, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Friday, June 2, Union Report 23-000000203: Union Police along with agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit performed alcohol compliance checks at KT’s Bar, VP Racing Fuel, Toll House Tavern, Union Depot, CVS, VFW Post 5434 and VFW Post 8211. Agents discovered violations at the Toll House Tavern where a bartender sold a beer to a male under the age of 21. Lyndsay A. Nicholas, 41, of Covington was charged with sale of beer to a person under 21 years of age and issued a court summons.

Sunday, June 4, Union Report 23-000000205: Brandy L. Hatfield, 27, of Union, was charged with operating a motor vehicle intoxicated, expired registration, and failure to control. She was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.

Union Report 23-000000206: An unknown subject entered an unlocked 2013 Hyundai Accent parked in the 600 block of W. Martindale Rd. and broke the steering column in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle.

Union Report 23-000000207: An unknown subject broke the rear driver’s side window on a 2018 Kia Soul parked in the 700 block of W. Martindale Rd. and broke the steering column in an attempt to steal the vehicle. A red screwdriver was found sticking out of the ignition key slot.

Union Report 23-000000209: An unknown subject broke the rear driver’s side window on a 2020 Kia Soul parked in the 100 block of Irongate Dr. and pried open the plastic cover on the steering column in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

Tuesday, June 6, Union Report 23-000000212: Riley A. Dresnek, 18, of Englewood, was charged with operating a motor vehicle intoxicated, two headlights required, driving under an ALS suspension, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, underage consumption, and open container. She registered at .141 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. She was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.
