ODOT to hold STIP open house in Eaton

EATON — The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for 2024 to 2027 is open for public comment through Monday, April 10, and now is the chance to get information and share ideas about the transportation projects that are in development.

The STIP identifies the multi-modal transportation improvement projects that are scheduled for some phase of implementation throughout the state over the next four years. While the draft documents are available for public review and comment online during the review period, ODOT District 8 will hold two open houses next week. One of the open house will be here in Preble County, Monday, March 27, from 10-11 a.m., at the Preble County Courthouse, 101 E Main Street, Eaton.

If unable to attend Monday, the next open house will be held at the Clinton County Engineer’s Office, 1326 Fife Avenue, Wilmington, Thursday, March 30, from 10-11 a.m.

In addition to attending either meeting to learn more about the STIP, comments concerning District 8’s STIP may be submitted online, by email to Scott Brown, or postal mail to: Scott Brown, P.E.. ODOT District 8 Planning Engineer, 505 Ohio 741 South, Lebanon, OH 45036.

Written comments must be received by the close of business on April 10.

ODOT District 8 includes Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Greene, Hamilton, Preble and Warren Counties.
