The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, March 8, Englewood 23-0000399: Michael S. White, 35, of Trotwood, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for domestic violence. He was transported to the county jail.

Englewood 23-0000400: Robert L. Knight, 65, at large, was charged with theft at Meijer and was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County. He was transported to the county jail.

Thursday, March 9, Englewood 23-0000408: Alex Unterborn, 29, of Huber Heights, was charged with theft at Meijer, issued a court summons and released.

Friday, March 10, Brookville 23-00096: Police responded to an injury accident at Arlington Road and the Interstate 70 westbound off ramp. The driver of a 1995 Ford truck told police she took her eyes off the road to look at the GPS map on her cell phone and when she looked back up the traffic light had turned red and she was unable to stop in time and struck the rear of a white Hyundai Elantra. The driver of the Hyundai was transported to the hospital for treatment by Brookville Medics. Camara S. Shook, 18, of Laura, was issued a citation for assured clear distance ahead and issued a court summons.

Saturday, March 11, Brookville 23-00098: Police responded to the 200 block of Carr Dr. where a motorist struck a utility pole. Police found a red Buick Lucerne wedged under a broken light pole with wires hanging low across the roadway. Dena J. Busch, 52, of Brookville, was cited for failure to control, issued a court summons and given a courtesy ride to her home.

Sunday, March 12, Brookville 23-00099: A resident cleaning her home picked up a lamp and found two identification cards belonging to people she does not know. She turned the cards over to police. Both I.D. cards were expired.

Clayton 23-0000274: Officers responded to the intersection of Garber and Westbrook roads on a suspicious circumstance. An occupant of a silver SUV threw a purse on the side of the roadway. An officer located the purse on the northwest corner of the intersection. The purse contained an I.D. and credit cards belonging to a female subject along with miscellaneous items including coupons and cash. Officers contacted dispatch and verified that Butler Township just had a vehicle stolen belonging to the female subject whose I.D. was found in the purse. The purse and other items were placed into an evidence locker for safekeeping.

Monday, March 13, Brookville 23-00101: Police responded to the area of McKinley Street and Wolf Creek Street on the report of a vehicle accident. Officers found a black Chrysler 300 sitting unoccupied at the intersection with heavy damage to passenger side front end. Police went to the vehicle owner’s residence nearby and detected an odor of alcohol about him as he spoke. William R. Pollard, 36, of Brookville, was charged with driving while under the influence and failure to maintain reasonable control. He was transported to the county jail, but staff refused to accept him due to his involvement in an accident. He was released to his girlfriend with a court summons.

Clayton 23-0000280: An 8.5 feet wide by 18 feet long enclosed dark blue trailer was reported stolen near the intersection of Westbrook and Union roads. The owner stated a tire came off the wheel of the trailer and he left it there while trying to make arrangements to have the tire replaced or have the trailer towed. ABC Towing arrived at the scene and notified the owner that the trailer was no longer there. The owner contacted Clayton and Trotwood police to see if the trailer had been towed and neither department had issued a tow order. Englewood Truck was contacted, and they had no record of towing the trailer.

Clayton 23-0000281: A 2019 black Kia Optima displaying license plate GZR 8897 was stolen from a driveway in the 5300 block of Hillgrove Ave. The vehicle was left unlocked and contained the driver’s wallet, car keys, house keys and two car seats when it was stolen. The vehicle was later involved in a rollover crash in Dayton at the intersection of Arlene Avenue and Free Pike with a male subject lying next to the vehicle conscious and breathing.
