EATON — Wende Kluener will join the Preble County Council on Aging staff in her new role as Marketing and PR Manager in January 2021.
She will focus on promoting the varied PCCOA programs serving the senior population of Preble County. A resident of Hamilton, Ohio, her marketing and public relations experience spans 23 years in both the telecommunications and long-term care industries. She has a bachelor’s degree in Education from Miami University.
Kluener spent 15 years in customer service and public relations at Time Warner Cable where she focused on authoring media releases, articles and newsletters, planning community events and working closely with community leaders. While caring for a family member with dementia, she developed a passion for memory care and went into the long-term care industry and spent time as administrative support, admissions, marketing and activities. Kluener is also a certified activities director.
“We are very excited to welcome Wende to our team at the PCCOA,” said Shelly Ratliff, PCCOA Executive Director. “Not only will she bring years of successful marketing and public relations experience, she has lived and worked in our community throughout the years. Additionally, she has been a member of the Senior Village Committee since its inception.”
Kluener will be developing and implementing an overall marketing and public relations strategy that will increase public awareness. Her efforts will not only highlight the council’s continued standard of excellence but define the PCCOA as Preble County’s leader in resources for our senior citizens.
