CAMDEN — On July 23, members of the Camden Family Lions Club partnered with the Camden Village Council to paint and clean the village’s park restrooms.

In need of some, “TLC and elbow grease,” as one member explained, the project used the resources of both groups to help improve the community.

The goal of the Camden Family Lions Club is to serve members of the community, in hopes that others will join them in doing good for others. This project, spearheaded by Councilman Ernest Crabtree and Lion Robert Brock, provided both groups just such an opportunity.

The restrooms are frequented by youth sports participants and other visitors to the park. This project is just one of several the village is working on to upgrade its facilities, including road paving and remodeling the village’s historic town hall.

Those wishing to join the Camden Family Lions Club can find them on Facebook, e-mail [email protected] or join them at one of their meetings, held the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Camden UMC.
