COLUMBUS — Twin Valley South senior Aaron Deaton captured his second consecutive state shot put championship today at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

Deaton’s winning throw of 57 feet, 9 1/4 inches came during his second attempt of the finals. He entered the finals leading with a throw of 57-5.
