ST. PARIS — The National Trail boys golf team defeated Miami East High School, 179-181, in a tightly contested match at Lakeland Golf Club in St. Paris on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Miami East’s Dylan Martinez was medalist for the match, shooting a 39. Martinez was followed by National Trail seniors Logan Petitt, who shot a 41, and Bryten Jones, who shot a 44. National Trail junior Chris Brubaker shot a 48, which proved to be the pivotal score of the match and helped seal the win for the Blazers.

National Trail improved its season record to 10-3, and was scheduled to play the final regular season match on Monday, Sept. 19, against Preble Shawnee, at Liberty Country Club. The Blazers will play in the Cross County Conference Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 22, at Stillwater Valley Country Club.
