ARCANUM — National Trail freshman golfer Makenna Jones broke her own school record for lowest nine-hole score by firing a 1-under par 35 on Monday, Sept. 12 at Beechwood Golf Club.

Jones previously set the record a few weeks ago with a 37.

The Blazers rebounded from their lone loss of the season to Miami East and beat Arcanum. Jones was followed by Savannah Abner with a 50, Allison Brubaker with a 58, and Makena Laird with a 60.

This event was the final regular season match last on the schedule for Trail. The next match for the girls team will be at the Cross County Conference tournament at Stillwater Valley in Versailles on Thursday, Sept. 22.
